Common Questions
How do I know my roof needs to be replaced?
There will be leaks and ceiling spots inside, and on the roof there could be missing or torn shingles, shingle remains in gutters, loose flashings, etc. Also, if your roof is 20 years old it could be at the end of its lifespan.
Do I need a roof replacement if my roof is leaking?
We can often make roof repairs to extend the life of a roof that is in acceptable condition. However, if a roof has many symptoms of age or wear and tear, a replacement might be the best option.
How long do asphalt shingles last?
It depends on the shingle grade—higher grade shingles will last longer than lower grades and their life expectancy can range from 10 to 40 years.
Which roofing material should I use?
It depends on your budget, needs and preferred style. The lifespan of the roofing material you choose should be your main consideration. Some materials are more expensive to use, but will have a longer lifespan. Asphalt shingles can last 20 years, but a more expensive metal roof can last up to 50 years if maintained well.
How long will it take to replace my roof?
Most of the time we can replace a residential roof in a single day. If we need more than one day, we clean and secure the site at the end of each day and take care to protect any vulnerable areas from the weather.
